The jumpers Name is Gabriel "Gabo" Ruiz, a longtime Jumper from Mexico. He was my FJC teacher who introduced me into Base Jumping over 10 years ago.
He was the last jumper on the load, we only have observations from Nonjumpers who where watching the jump from the entrance of the crack. According to their observation it looks like he stalled his Wingsuit about 600 Meters before the entry to the crack and was not able to recover.
As said, this is only information from nonjumpers and could be not accurate.
Gabo was an experienced jumper who started Wingsuit base over 10 years ago.
My thoughts go to his family and his (and mine) Mexican friends, fly free.

Please be save and don't under estimate this jump, it looks so easy on the videos but it's a technical jump which has already caused some lives and injured a couple of experienced jumpers.

Gabo! Sad news.

 Such aweful news. Gabo was always such an amazing person , and a heads up jumper. I haven't seen him in years , but stayed in touch . He opened up many sites in Mexico , and was the driving force in mex base for many years .
