Cameras.. How many??
So as I have been told yesterday I am too heavy to do my AFF course, would have to loose at least 3 stone and being 6'5 that isn't easy!!Either way I am gonna keep working at it as it is a lifelong dream. anyway, as previous posts I fly a phantom with gimbal and photography, video work etc etc. How many go-pros do you awesome jumpers normally jump with either sky dive scenario or BASE? Also do you guys know of anyone using 4K video for the jumps? Shooting RAW, for example the Black Magic pocket cine cam'. Also what cams are you guys using for stills in the air? is it just taking a jpeg frame from video or shooting stills with go pro etc? So happy flying all, hope the weather is good for you all.

Well losing 3 stone being 6'5" will be hell of a lot easier than losing 3 stone if you were 5'6".

Most AFF courses have a 250 lbs limit which is about 17.5 stone which would mean you are around 20 stone. Even for your height that is very big/fat.

You can have equipment made to any size/weight but you can't buy stronger ankles, legs wrists etc. I would strongly suggest you lose the weight if you plan to take up canopy flying sports. You will have hard landings. Give your bones a fighting chance.

And to answer your camera question... how long is a piece of string? People have wingsuit base jumped with everything from RED Epic cameras to DSLRs. Check out the camera section in the dropzone.com forum, there's a ton of info there.

Cheers dude, yeh down to 18 and a bit now, my local AFF wants 14.5 stone max weight... that's gonna be harsh as hell. I figure hitting 16 will be easy enough, don't do any weights now or anything else so going to work very hard at loosing all by early next year. thanks for the link, appreciate you taking the time to reply.
