How do you pack your PC for WS jumps?
I saw a thread on FB today where a few high profile jumpers were debating the merits of each option.

I've been taught to S-fold the bridle inside the PC mesh for normal BASE jumps, so that's what I've been doing for WS as well (with no issues, but a small data set). Just curious how many of you use a different technique for WS or terminal jumps.

This would be option 2. S-folding outside the PC. One very knowledgeable jumper had some qualms with it. And another disagreed. It was interesting to read, but much like the point, counter-point style of debate you see on the news these days, it left me with no real direction.

Just throw your PC like your life depends on it and you'll be fine... Cool

as long as you dont flare the flight. pc deployment is almost the same tracking, box or winging it. Only the burble changes.

My understanding is that the downside to folding inside the mesh is that it increases the chance of a knot around the bridle. This is due to more slack bridle out in the open alongside the PC.

The downside of folding outside the PC material is that a weak toss could leave the PC trailing only a short distance behind you while the bridle is caught up in the BOC.

Both seem to be low probability events...I guess you have to pick your poison.

To an earlier point, just throw the PC with a little moxie and you should be alright.

I combined the two. It allows a bit more weight to the PC, fills the BOC better, and gives the PC enough bridle to clear the bad air, but leaves the majority of the bridle in the BOC for a clean extraction. Best of both worlds.

There is another downside to the bridle inside - in case of a horseshoe you're probably fucked, while with outside canopy will likely pull the PC out.
