The Rise Of Superman: Decoding the Science of Ultimate Human Performance
I don't really post too often in this forum but I have been reading a book that I just had to share with other jumpers.
The Rise of Superman is all about "flow", something I always referred to as "consuming focus" but now I have a better word for. When people asked me why I skydived and then BASE jumped I could only explain that it was the only activity I did that allowed me to be 100% in the moment, everything else I do has 2 or 3 other thoughts going on at the same time and that is just generally hard work!
Not only does it feature many of our friends (Red Bull Airforce, Dean Potter, etc) but in general should be mandatory reading for BASE jumpers. It really helps understand the motivations and brain chemistry that occur around jumping. It also blows away the "adrenaline junkie" label.

Anyone else read it? What did you think?
