Helium vs Zak2
What do you think about those containers? Which do you prefer?

Re: [Pigi] Helium vs Zak2
They both do the job.

Pick whichever you find most convenient and/or most "attractive".

blahdy blah blah

And customer service... sucks to be quoted 8 weeks and 16 weeks later... still no rig.

Re: [Huck] Helium vs Zak2
From my point of view.

Helium
Pros: Pin cover design is more secure. Rig is more durable. It has a top through loop but you can also convert it to a regular set-up.
Cons: Slow production timeline. Be ready to be patient if you order one. The container is a little heavier than a similar container from a different manufacturer.

Zak2
Pros: Adrenalin has great customer service. The rig is lighter and more comfortable compared to the Helium.
Cons: I think it's harder to fill out the container and make it look as neat as the Helium when packing. I don't like the pin cover design.

Re: [Pigi] Helium vs Zak2
Merka...

I haven't jumped a zak, but what I like about the helium, which I own and jump, is that you can pack it as a regular gargoyle would be packed, or you can take the closing loop and place it on the pack tray bottom significantly reducing the pack volume. I currently jump at OSP245 (260ish) in it, and switched it out for a mojo220 and it fit really nice. This significantly reduced the pack tray and made the rig feel really low profile. obviously there are better options out there for low profile, but if you want the versatility, I think the Helium is all that.. durable also. My 2cents..
Not a huge fan of the zak (packed many but no jumps) just because it feels like its way wider than most other containers, and if im not wrong the manufacture says that its meant of horizontal opening like with wingsuiting or tracking, not with aerials and such. I could be wrong, but I would rather have a multi purpose rig that fits many profiles, vs a specific genre of base. Again, My 2 cents

That is what I want: a general purpose rig less bulky than my P Pro and durable

With those requirements, either one of the rigs you mentioned will do. Helium probably is more durable out of the two whereas the Zak2 probably has the edge on the "less bulky" -req.

Just as a suggestion, if you want a general purpose rig even less bulky than either one of the two, you might want to look on the Hybrid2 from JNO. Here in Euroland lot of people jump Hybrids as "all purpose" rigs, I have roughly 600-700´ish jumps on Hybrids ranging from 40m SL/PCA´s to 2000m+ WS jumps and absolutely love ´em.

I just saw Kathy the other night. I've never seen anyone so stressed out before in my life...
She's the only one that is currently making the rigs and she's working nearly 24/7 to get the stuff out the door.

So yes, patience. But an He is worth it in my eyes :P

Yeah, I'd say the same thing. I have two heliums and they were worth waiting for.
