need some advice here. Anyone have experience jumping a drilling derrick/mast? I found one that is 180' with good landing area. there is an outcropping of containers about 120' below the mast that stick out about 30ft and then there is another 60ft to the ground. It would be nice to know if this has been done before attempting.
I would err on the side of caution. I just got my canopy repaired from a 200' with some shit sticking out that I cleared no prob, but that pesky canopy behind me for some reason didn't get the memo. Unless you have one hell of a tail wind, you won't clear 30' from 120'.................. figure 70-80' inflation, 20ft to pop toggles. Not a whole lot left when you consider a flare or slight offheading as far as obj separation.
