so in an effort to prevent this from devolving into some shit-storm and having some old irrelevant arm chair base jumper post three pages of stories about nothing to prove another worthless point...

i appreciate the spirit of Aussie Stone's post, and i imagine it is mostly in jest...

however, i think it's important to note that this island is pretty rad and a special place. it's infrastructure simply cannot support large groups of BASE jumpers and to go to one of these events is truly a special privilege as it takes a lot of work and great support from the locals and the Mayor to make happen.

That being said, you can go there and jump it anytime in small groups the rest of the year. Hank has posted before and many would gladly assist in the logistics of how it should be done properly.

don't go all crazy and bandit something that's legal just to get stranded on a beach somewhere with no way out!

I was on the island six times. Always jumping,always scubadiving always found weed. The police gave me only one comment: "- do not ride ATV threesome, and put your helmet on your head." I do not understand how the police can stop jumping. When you have 40 people it attracts the attention of viewers. But when jumping 2-3 people, all around just do not care. This island is very nice. Just go and jump. Puff the police.
