SL/PCA offheadings
Hi all. Just wonder if someone ever had or seen a offheading in a SL jump or PCA jump more than 45 degrees? If yes, what was the reason? Packing, wind, bridle not straight behind jumper?
Thank you

Yes,PCA, 90 degrees off and because of wind. I've not seen more than 90 though.

I've seen several. Can't imagine how you have to pack to get an offheading on a PCA, but the rest are very valid reasons.
I also saw a 180 PCA, no wind, regular packjob, bridal straight behind the jumper.
Shit happens.Smile

I've had almost a 90° left due to light cross-wind.

I've also seen a 180 PCA from a bridge. Can't remember anything else about the jump though.

Re: [JBag] SL/PCA offheadings
I had a jumping buddy who has around 500-600 SL jumps have a 180 on a 220 ft freestander. He got banged up pretty bad but he is ok now!! It took him an hr or so to get down the structure as he had to shimmy his way down the object Crazy

Always be ready for shizzzle to get REAL!!!

I'm guessing in no wind if he had an object strike?
