here are the basics. sell your first born child if you plan on drinking alcohol or eating food. gas is outrageous as well. bring lots of porn cause there is nothing else to do in two weeks of rain and clouds. hope you enjoy it as much as i did Mad

August has the best weather, if you can be flexible on dates. Plan on it raining most days and having to jump in the rain from time to time and you won't be disappointed.

Go for the experience, and not getting lots and lots of jumps. Given the size and length of delay, you'll get enough. I went there with two beginners (I was doing my first wingsuit BASE jumps there); we probably managed 30 jumps in 2 weeks, but we weren't afraid to hike in driving rain from time to time.

Gonna cross all my fingers for jumpable weather.
Will be in Norway for 2 weeks vacation mid-July to August 3rd. but only in Kjerag for maybe 3 days (2-3 nights).
Really, really hope to get a bunch of terminal cliff BASE in.

Anyone for multi-ways?

The weather in Southern Europe is much better than the weather in Norway.

[quote The weather in Southern Europe is much better than the weather in Norway.quote]

I don't agree, Norway has a bad rap,... skydiving since the first of May this season and weathered out only one day, I'll bet you wish you could say that about Twin Falls!
Last season the people that arrived for the Heli-Boogie and went to Voss and then Romsdal, didn't miss a day for three weeks,... but that was for sure better than to be expected. It's hit and miss, like the Swiss Valley,... no guarantees, but you can almost always jump, especially around late July into October, the best time of year,... Lot's of horror stories about extended periods of bad weather, but the same can be said of The rest of Europe, and even the USA,...

I just now checked this thread and noticed you will be here for three weeks, when you say Norway are you only thinking Kjerag? In which case you will have to prepare yourself for being in a place that basically has no food or other available resources. If you are going elsewhere, Romsdal/ Gudvangen, for example then food and other amenities are more accessible. Everything is outrageously expensive,.. unless of course you compare it to Switzerland,...in which case it's only Beer that's unbelievably outrageous, for example you can camp for free in Norway, everywhere, even in Lysebotn....
Food? if you are Swiss you should be happy with a loaf of bread and a chunk of cheese! and the water in Norway is free and of better quality than anywhere else in the world,... my point is that you can keep your expenses down to a minimum, and as for porn to relieve the boredom,.. the Norwegian girls are,.. well,...Norwegian Wink
