Following the recent triple fatality that involved a friend and another person I have known for 7 years, it was disheartening to read comments from people I call "armchair basejumpers." These people either don't jump, or did a handful of jumps in the distant past and feel the need to comment on events they have no understanding of, or aspects of the sport they have never been exposed to. There were several very expereinced jumpers who are advanced proxy pilots who had viewed the accident footage and were able to provide good feedback and consesnsus on the possible contributing causes.

Could the armchair basejumpers fuck off and go back to their holes and stop feeling the need to post when no one wants to hear from them.

you know who they are enuff to make this post and the target them so why don't you just not read their posts. the two posters that I can think of in that thread had rather long and useless posts anyways (robin and sky123) so it was a bother to read anyway. granted that they both are not experienced wingsuit BASE jumper afaik it makes sense to just skip their posts and read posts from people like Robi or vincent.

that's my tactic in these kind of technical discussions.
