Snake River Base FJC
To anyone considering a FJC...

I just completed Toms FJC and wanted to say a few things.

I've taken Apex's course in 2012 and it does not come close.

At Snake River Base, the days start before sunrise and end with your brain and body tired late late at night. 4 days of classroom lectures and jumping. Tom is not only incredibly experienced in base but also at teaching base. Thousands of videod exits, thousands of students, and full time teaching this sport, makes him a very good person to learn from.

There is also a wall full of rigs of all types to choose from and that are ready to be jumped so you can make 4-5 in a day...

In short, it was thorough and well run and well worth the time and expense.

Just my opinion.

Have fun

We have several student rigs that will fit someone 6'5". One of the harnesses was actually cut for a guy who was 6'8".

When I did the course in 2005 the course was free, but I would have paied for it! A one week course with a lot of jumping and even more theory (hystory, ethics, obect evaluation and much more). And one of the highlits was a real american barbecue at Toms house :-)

I am 6'5" and Tom had enough big rigs to keep me jumping. Some weren't super comfy, but you only wear them for like 5 minutes.

Thank you for the replies, everyone. Good to know that I won't need to worry about what gear to buy until after the course is done. :)

I also did the srbc. Tom was great! the class was outstanding. After the class I found that I knew more then some people who have been base jumping for a long time. they still had more skill but I knew some techniques and safety stuff that they had never heard of. He even let me order stuff to his place and hold it for me. I came with my own rig and I still got to try 6 or 7 different set ups (Velcro/two pin/one pin) I even got to do a water round jump, with the instruction of "do not pull before 3 seconds and pull before 4 seconds haha. some of the best times of my life!

Even with all the good in his class I would say that my favorite part is the fact you can call him anytime when you have a question and he will do his best to answer you.

Thanks Tom for all your help and ill see you soon!
