Just heard from friends that one of the local tandem-masters died out in mineral. Second hand reports that it was an arial / low pull combo. I'll refrain from posting a name until family is notified.
One of the jumpers on site reported that he planned to do a double gainer, but hesitated for a while. Then he finally jumped, all that they made out from the LZ was that he was in rotation, and then probably slowed out on the second roll, lost altitude awareness and pitched only when he saw the ground, but it was too low. Lines remained in tailpocket.
