Hey folks,

Thought it best that I introduce myself here as although I plan to mainly lurk around and try to pick up some useful bits of info I might actually chance raising my head above the parapet at some point to ask questions. No doubt they'll be met with the response they deserve :p

I've been contemplating BASE for a while now but have had to keep my head down and work hard to get reasonably safe in my career. Living in Northern England at the moment and closing in on 500 skydives. Most have been FS but a few canopy courses thrown in there and a chunk of CF too. Fortunately i'm looking at taking a bit of a break from work for a few months so taking the opportunity and looking around to get myself on to a FJC (mainly looking at SRBA in the States and thanks Tom for your helpful replies).

Hope I don't ruffle any feathers with stupid questions and look forward to learning more.

It never hurts to ask a stupid question. In the midst of all the sarcastic answers, someone with their online BASE jumping degree will answer your question. And so that you know, an online BASE jumping degree can be earned in as little as six weeks. True to form, it took me four years. But hey, it can be done.

On a serious note now, I noticed you didn't mention anything about rigging. That is something else you could be learning while you're lurking around...
