I'm a UK resident and will be spending 5 months out of the next 6 months in Italy and Switzerland etc jumping. I know it's a grey area, and I have had a good look already... A lot of jumpers I've spoken to have said their policies no longer include BASE.

If it's not possible to get cover then I'm looking for advice on how to limit costs on potential medical expenses/evac etc. What do you UK jumpers do for insurance when you are abroad? I managed to get some cover in the states for a couple of weeks (for £250), I think they may cover EU but the price for 6 months will be 1000's.

Won't cover rescue or repatriation but will cover emergency care.

I followed this up a week ago.you need to be a citizen then register in person at a medical centre. With an NHI number you can complete EHIC. Voila. Cant register by phone, email of online. I tried.....
