Hi!

Thinking of giving this whole "base" thing a shot sometime this year. Just curious if there is a container manufacturer that has a reputation of being better for tall individuals (i.e. ~2 meters tall)

It's not like sky diving. Base manufacturers are small. They have a greater ability to accommodate you. A lot of people build an extended, longer version of their rig. That along with small changes to the pattern set, harness and they could easily accommodate you regardless of your MLW. If you really want to do this, we can make the gear happen.

focus on the other hurdles. The gear can be ready long before you are.

That has never been a problem for me. I am 198 cm and rigs from both Apex and Morpheus have fit me perfectly. The first versions of the Hybrid LD2 from Adrenalin Base looked a bit short to me (although I never jumped it), but never versions of the same model looks a lot nicer. I doubt you will have any problems with any manufacturer if you get it custom made from your measurements.

I'm 193cm and Ive jumped a DP, Zak2 and a Hybrid 2. All of which worked fine. The Hybrid does a have a higher reach to the BOC, but I didn't mind it. Never had a missed pull, even when switching between my Zak.

The Squirrel Stronglite has a lower PC location than most of the other rigs you'll see. You might have a look at that one if the PC location is too high on other rigs.
