The norwegian military is getting rid of 81 Parachutes de France techno reserves of the 240sqft variety... for only 160 dollars. I imagine they're in good condition.

Has anyone used a techno reserve for the base environment? At this price it would be nice to have one in a cheap velcro rig for bridge jumps.

there have been multiple problems with the techno 240 due to bad/slow openings, it was even grounded for some time and multiple service bulletins have been released because of this (different slider, different brake setting, modified packing instructions, lowering speed and weight limits).

the letters A,B,C after the 240 state which service bulletins have been applied. the difference between those versions is basically brake lines and slider, canopy itself is the same as far as i remember (i didnt dig up all the bulletins now..). so all that stuff you would modify for base anyways.
i dont know if anyone really used them for base yet, but if you really want to get one of those i would start with a rather bridge...
