I don't like the bight of line. If it's asymmetric it's easy to pull down one control line more than the other and generate off headings. If I was going to use a stow on the trailing edge of the slider, I'd prefer to have a tailgate there and just wrap the lines in it (which wouldn't have the potential to distort the trim of the canopy.
OK. I think you're overthinking it, but to each his own opinion. I used to use masking tape on slider jumps, but that got old carrying a roll of tape around. Even if you did stow it somewhat asymmetric, it just holds for a split second. Not enough to affect heading with a slider in my opinion.
IMO, if you are going full terminal slick go for it, use it. any slower though you are risking off headings and if you are going sub-t then that off heading could put you in a world of hurt. never know what may be getting stuck when you squeeze all your control lines together mixed with a slider.
I definitely get it for slider down jumps since you have all that line ran out from the risers, something can go slack without the tailgate. In a slider up jump the simple fact of having the slider their keeps your brake lines together to keep them from going over. i like to keep it as simple as possible.
+1 Sub terminal and using it left me with 150's off headings consistently when taking a bite out of one side of the lines. I got more on headings when when I bit symmetrically.
