SkiBASE Tipps and Tricks from experts
Skibase beginner, but not a base beginner ...

I am very intressiere the Skibase. we have here in Switzerland a couple of beautiful cliffs that are jumpable. build beautiful approach, build nice kicker/roller/exit.
the plan is to go handheld without aerials and experiments. safe jumps
for fun...

am grateful to each of your advices. on what is to be exactly? lift by skis? ski binding, etc...

Unfortunately, I do not know any people in the area make Skibase.

Thank you very much

It doesn't really sound like you have a lot of experience skiing. Handheld?! How big are these cliffs?

If you haven't done a lot of cliffs on skis normally, especially with aerials, how are you going to feel when you are pitching your back skis in the air? (happens a lot on first ski base jumps).

In my inexperienced opinion ski base isn't something you can just "progress" through and do all the right things and be okay. Shit will happen much more frequently. If you're not a damn good or near professional skier, how do you think you will stack up against the odds when professional caliber skiers get hurt a lot?

Then again all you really have to do is ski off a cliff and get a pilot chute out without bridle wrapping. I say send it! Cool

well in that case go real fast and go stowed to use ski poles for extra style points. chuck them way up into the air after launch because it looks cool make sure you dont use ski straps they might make this manuver difficult

skiing since im 2 years old. did skiraces, switeched to freestyle/freeride, did some contests and since 5 years speedriding. well skiing should not be a problem.

just saw JT's first skiBASE. They also went handheld for 1st. but yeah i thnik stowed would be better for exit balance. whatever...

we have a lot of cliffs. 300ft+
