Hey guys,

We've been cleaning up a lot of spam recently and in turn, as a preventative measure. We have implemented a 3 day waiting period after registration before being able to post.

This will not only help potentially protect against spam, but also encourage new users to read through the articles before jumping into the forums.

I actually think making it something like 7 days or so before the incident forum is accessible would also help quite well against media digging through the site for quotes directly after an accident. It would create a buffer, where the information is not accessible straight away.

Does it actively encourage? Thinking about this (Newbies), Would it be a good idea to ask some questions based on the articles? This would take care of two probs (Newbies and Spammers). By Newbie probs i mean mrExxtremeSportDudeI wantItServedOnAsilverPlatter (or missus).

Look at the date registered and the date posted. FAIL!

This happened due to the change to the new template set which happened after the implementation of that spam prevention. It should be fixed now.
