I'm looking at picking up new chest/back protection. these are my top 3 picks so far. any advise would be greatly appreciated. of if you think I should look at something else let me know.

Also what side are you on hard or soft armor?

I was using the Icon motorcycle armor for chest and back. i know use the g4 for elbow pads and some dirt bike ones for my shin/knee pads. I found the Icon much too bulky and pushed my BOC too far away from me to get a comfortable pull. stopped using it for that, just using head/elbow/knee/shin

See that's what I find with my back protector right now. but I am not willing to go with out back armor. The biggest thing I am worried about with the soft armor is if I land on my back on rocks or a curb. I just think that the soft stuff wouldn't help that much in that situation. But on the plus side soft armor wouldn't pop my rig so far off my back.

I'm thinking that I may go with soft armor for the simple fact that I don't want my BOC so far off my back. but I'm still contemplating

Have you jumped this?? I was really looking at this but I was thinking the shoulders would restrict my movement just like my motorcycle armor.

No, I haven't. I just like how it looks like, I don't think it's that bulky though.
