In light of the recent carnage, the most refreshing thing about this jump was how high he flew above the terrain.

You don't need to eat tree branches to fly an awesome, inspirational, beautiful line.

Well done, Patrick -- really, really well done.

LOL... I noticed that too.

The wild part for me was flying into the clouds, but when he came out of them he was even higher above the terrain than when he entered... just an all-together classy, controlled, well-planned flight that was both spectacular and flown with wide margins for error at the same time.

It can be done and if more people would follow Patrick's example instead of those who pick leaves out of their teeth after they land, there would be a lot fewer teeth scattered across the landscape.

Super cool, kind of surprised about the freefall time though. Id expect it to be well into the 3m range. Guess those vampires are just hard on the arms ;)

Either that or he didn't want to orbit over his landing area. It's clear that he steepens his angle during the last part of his flight.

or the wingsuit and canopy doesn't fly as efficiently at those altitudes.

This was a Venom not a Vampire and regardless of overall time, great to see a decent altitude pull, stunning safe flight.

This shows more "pushing the limits" then the weekly "yet another cm less over the ground"-videos. Such a beautiful flight! Very nice Cool
