We have been made aware of a scammer on the classifieds section of Basejumper.com

If you are contacted by the following individual, please cut all contact and do not process with any arranged transactions with them. This is a confirmed scammer.

Please be aware of buyers claiming that they will pay for shipping via a courier that will collect the item. Also beware of broken English. Ensure that you ask the buyer relevant questions about BASE jumping. Most of these scammers will not research the gear to a degree that would make them knowledgeable on it.

This dipstick answered one of my ads.

I recognized it immediately from the wording but played along for a while, asking if he was certified by PIA to jump the container I was selling, and whether he was qualified to jump the canopy for which ist was designed.

When he ignored me and kept talking about the elemnts you listed above, I told him that from then going forward he had to contact me at my work address:

for some reason, he didn't reply...

I have been contacted to arrange a courier as well, there was even real looking emails from what appeared to be PayPal saying the money was deposited and that there was a hold on my PayPal until the courier received their money. But when I called pay pal they new of no deposits or holds.
The new name for this scam jerk is dmvill080@gmail.com, name: Donna Mcvill.
Courier needs $400 dollars money gramed to them before the hold will be taken off my PayPal account, so the fake email says.
Do not send money to someone you don't know.

payment method. They are only accepting payment through Western union
money transfer but i am currently on sea due to my status of work, so
i want to add the pick up agent pick up fee to your item cost price
credited to your Paypal account and the pick up fee is (500.00EUR) so
i will be crediting the total amount of(1,600.00EUR), the extra
(100.00EUR) is for the Western union transfer fee for you to transfer
the pick up agent fee through Money gram. Once i have these done and
you have pick up agent fee sent to them, the pick up arrangement will
be scheduled,just wanted to let you know before i proceed with the
payment, please advice and i please advice and i will be looking

I think I was just contacted by this MARY scammer! Sounds super fishy!

Same story. He (she) asked to transfer money to shipping agent. And send fake mail about PayPal transaction with block.

I received the same but an initial broken english email. As well, had a text correspondence and they used a VOIP out of Texas as well as sending me a photoshopped DL of what they said was their wife. They also claimed to be in the pacific as well as the gulf at the same time. See below for a laugh.
