Easier jumps in warmer climates (China, Malaysia?)
Hello, Pretty new to the forum and the BASE world in general. I thought of posting this in the beginner section, but the information I'm trying to bring to light might be valuable for experienced jumpers as well.
I'm living in a far northern climate, and our jumping season is short. I made a trip to Twin this summer and got the first ones knocked out, but won't be able to return until after it starts getting cold again. I'll have about 5 weeks free for shenanigans Dec-Jan, and would like to resume BASE progression at a less technical and warm place where I can start racking the numbers. I'm afraid the Perrine in that time frame will be pretty chilly to be getting 5+ jumps a day.
So, the question: is there anywhere in the world where one can make reliable jumps, preferably from a span or a really overhung object like the KL tower, where they won't be harassed by officials, and it is warm in Dec and Jan? I've been reading around here but found limited info on China, which seems to have a ton of great spans. Also, I'm still looking into whether Malaysia can be jumped outside of the organized events with some sort of government permission. I'm guessing South America is pretty limited? I'm ok with traveling reasonably sketchy 3rd world environments. I'm talking New Delhi sketchy, not Somalia sketchy.
Any info is greatly appreciated. Before anybody gets too concerned, I will be enlisting the guidance of a very experienced mentor or two. Feel free to correct a newby if any of my logic is heinous.
