Spectating base jumps in Lauterbrunnen
Greetings all!

I am quite inexperienced to all things regarding base jumping, however it is something I am striving to experience one day. I am currently on a trip to the spectacular country of Switzerland, and am very keen to spectate this incredible sport in Lauterbrunnen.

To those who have previous experience at the site, what would you recommend for spectating the jumps here? I have done a bit of research, however information regarding spectating jumps is rather limited, as most of the info is aimed at those who are actually jumping.

Any information would be great, I am heading in the Lauterbrunnen area in about a week and a half!Smile

Take care all
Nick.

Go to the Horner Pub on a nice day,
sit outside, when you see someone
walking by with a big black bag on
their back ask if they are jumping.

You can walk to the landing area
while they make their way to one
of the valley's many exit points.

Please stay off the grass and maybe
buy the jumper a Beer afterwards Wink

Maybe you can shoot the good people at Valley BASE Gear an email, possibly buy a t-shirt (or whatever) from them to support their business while you are there and I´m pretty sure they can help you on your trip.

Having never done a legal jump until I was years into my jumping career, it always being dark, never inviting anyone but jumpers and being focused on the jump; I never saw peoples reactions. Then I went to the Perrine and got this picture of myself and couldn't help but smile. It really is a special sport that just captivates people and blows their minds. Fuck I love BASE jumping.

I'd jump in the dark too if my rig looked like that :-)

Thank you all once again! The trip out to lauterbrunnen was a success, I was able to watch 4 base jumps from High Nose and several wingsuit jumps in there too! Absolutely amazing stuff, much respect to the jumpers!Smile

For anyone else who plans on going there, pop into the valley bas gear shop on the main street, they will direct you where to go. If you see the gondola going up, watch the cliffs over the next 10-15 minutes, you should see them jump!
