Dacron Brake Lines on a Trango
I just got a new Trango and saw that the brake lines are made of Dacron. Anyone know why they don't just use spectra for all the lines?

There are plenty of reasons why people use Dacron for their brake lines. Email Stane to see what his are.

Just curious. I'm sure there's a good reason for it.

I would think a lot of it has to do with the break settings, and the fact that the outer lines are more prone to wear during slider up openings. Im actually more surprised that they use spectra at all on any base canopies.

You mean the Spectra lines they've been jumping for almost ten years without any failures?

Not the failures im worried about, its the harder openings than dacron and the quicker loss of trim. The only failure here is you homo!
