I like the Adrénaline toggles because they are all one piece those and the bad seed are two piece more to keep a hold of after you pump your breaks first to clear. Not that your worried to keep your toggles at that point but a better chance.

Re: [wasatchrider] saw a new MFCTR
You might want to keep your toggle in case you want to make another jump that day or that trip without having to order a new toggle

Re: [wasatchrider] saw a new MFCTR
What extra is there to hold on to if you're not concerned about losing stuff at that point? Adrenalin toggles may be leashed, but they still require you to clear the toggle and pull the release handle just like these, or bad seed. Sure, after you clear the toggle and pull the release handle, you have 2 separate pieces, but at that point like you said, who cares? $80 to save your ass from a line over seems like a deal to me.

There was only one single action line release toggle that I've ever seen, made by vertigo back in the day, but it requires a straight pin for the brake setting, and since everyone now things pins are black death.....

Every other "modern" toggle Ive seen is a 2 action release.

BRB, gonna go tie my freebag, cutaway handle and reserve handle to my sky rig. Tongue

Re: [ineed2fly] saw a new MFCTR
Well if you look at the Adrénaline base toggle you pull the tab and it stays on the toggle so you don't have to keep a hold if the toggle and the tab in separate hands. It's one piece verses two pm me if you want pics. It's easier to keep hold I'd your toggle rather than the toggle and your tab that pulls out.

Cool man so since yours floats away its superior

Re: [wasatchrider] saw a new MFCTR
I've played with adrenalin toggles a bunch, and I'm aware of how they're leashed, but keeping hold of parts in separate hands isn't a function issue, but simply a dropping the handle after saving your life issue. Which IMO is a non-issue.

I chose to make the cable a solid piece all the way through the underside so that the system is far easier to assemble. If I built it leashed like adrenalin, the cable would have to be shorter, and you'd have to pull the cable through, instead of pushing it which is 1000x more difficult to assemble.

If people are seriously this worried about dropping handles, if you have a line over, and lose the handle, ill send you a new one free.... Unimpressed

Another alternative is to pack properly.

Re: [MBA-PATTO] saw a new MFCTR
i made my own line over toggles a couple years ago. used them slider up and down (hundreds of jumps) and never had an issue with them and they're so simple and cheap to make i would not hesitate to drop any part of the system when used. Smile

however, i'm pretty sure if i had a lineover on deployment, i'd just pull the release and the toggle would stay on the velcro. so nothing lost.Smile

Re: [blitzkrieg] saw a new MFCTR
Alas, if the toggle is through the brake setting, it won't release the line.

So you'd have to yank the toggle free to clear the line-over.

But if you have a line-over, it's not the packjob. It's body position. Body position.

Re: [seekfun] saw a new MFCTR
haha... of course. silly me. and lineovers are definitely caused by body position. Tongue

Seems like some colors for nite time jumping would be good too.

Re: [Huck] saw a new MFCTR
I have been playing with this tape as a color option for the release mechanism, for high visibility, but I can only find it in 1" wide and not 3/4" wide, and i'm not super happy with it at the moment. The 1" wide just looks kind of messy IMO, but nobody else seems to mind it. I can also get this tape in fluorescent yellow.

Re: [REDAKTOR] saw a new MFCTR
Not that I substantiate any claims, just that I've heard pin toggles are far more prone to a brake fire than stiffened cloth. Lots of people I know wont jump them. Both systems have their pros and cons, just like anything else.

Be careful you don't go confusing people here. The "Pin Toggle" that you are referring to is a very different thing to the straight pin in an Apex What Line Over toggle.
