Hey Guys, am ordering a new Wingsuit & am thinking about getting the belly mount hole option... I may use a belly cam later but for now prob not so will it make much difference to flight charactistics etc if i jump without a cam?

I would highly suggest NOT getting this option if you won't be using the camera strap holes any time soon. The main reasoning behind this is the extra drag produced creates a wing that is less efficient to fly and will greatly reduce your glide ration. To figure this out you would simply need to apply the drag force, or "wind resistance force" equation, which is:
FD = ½ r Cd A q v2

Where:
FD is the drag force
r (Greek letter "rho") is the density of air = 1.22 kg/m3
Cd is the drag coefficient
A is the area of the wing
q is the turbulence of the wing surface (ie. the impact of extra camera strap holes)
v is the velocity through the air

Meanwhile, the weight of the body (pilot/you), otherwise known as the force of gravity (FG), is computed to be:
FG = m g

Where:
m is the mass of the body
g is the acceleration of gravity = 9.81 m/s2

So to have the most efficient flight and best performance you need to find when the drag force and force of gravity equal (FG = FD) --- the added turbulence/drag of the camera strap holes makes this simply impossible to achieve.

Thus, unless you fly like Jokke the diminished flight characteristics of the wingsuit, due to the camera strap holes, are simply not worth it...

as long as you arent hanging a RED outta the hole i think you will be fine.
i have a lense pocket in the same place and it comes with a zipper to close the hole when not in use, eliminating any excess drag

Interesting to see that I was in my best performance mode the other day while rocking a boxman belly to earth...

i have magnetic mount for go pro buy at the valley. Work well with my p2z but not with my V4 during full speed opening (thank the leash):p
