Two guys, never been to MOAB. Gonna be at MOAB in June. Any locals/regulars to show us around a bit?

Why the hell does EVERYONE write Moab in all caps ?

(I mean, I know it's the greatest place on earth and everything but...)

Perhaps some people confuse the place

with the SKY event which is an acronym:

Moab, Utah ---> place with legal cliffs

MOAB --> Mother Of All Boogies

I'm headed to the perrine May 16th. I'm also going to be in Moab May 19th-22nd --ish. I have some friends coming to multi-pitch trad climb, but my primary focus is BASE. I'll be climbing/jumping some with my friends as well as hiking and jumping separately from them. I'd be interested in some general info about jumping in Moab and where I could camp...and would love to buy some beer and chat it up with some locals! Just let me know if you'll be around and are interested.

I'm not promising I'll be in town, but look me up. I own Slickrock Campground.

I think they are confusing it with either:

A) The Mother Of All Bombs, or

B) The Mother Of All Burgers,

both of which are derived from the promise of the "Mother of All Battles."

LOL! There's a place in town that has the M.O.A.B. "Mother Of All Burritos" too.

Slickrock is a great place to camp and hook up with other jumpers, as is Swanny Park where you can usually find people packing and/or just hanging out.

A couple of us with be there and twin between May 10th and 19th.
