I was told about an incident at Tonsai Beach, Thailand on 13th february. Does anyone have any more information on that and what exactly happened?
Its just a second hand report and originally comes from a non jumper but being right on the scene. He said the jumper hit really hard in low shore water with "no parachute out" (report comes from a non jumper so this statement is to be taken with a grain of salt as we all know!) but obviously survived with minor injuries.

Second hand from another jumper in ton Sai who did not witness the jump...

Exit from ton sai wall, ~450', Multiple front flips with late deployment impact into shallow water with partial canopy. Moderate leg and face injuries.

Dont Know what Happened but I was jumping with a Russian chap called Stanislav in december and he was out there and jumping with Rob when the accident happened. He posted on Facebook about Rob being injured on a jump but no details on what went wrong. He has had surgery and was stable in a Phuket Hospital. That was a few weeks ago. I will try and get more info out of Stas.

Stan was on a visa run when the incident happened but he has been helping rob in Phuket. Rob is doing well, walking, still in hospital for a bit.

Looks like this jump could have turned out the same as Robs. Ironically looks to be shot by Rob of Stanislav, same trip I'm guessing.

Front flips are nothing to take lightly. If you are thinking about starting to do front flips know that you can over-rotate and under-rotate easily. They are harder to nail consistently than gainers. Please be safe out there!

Just show up, buy your ticket and take the ride... They make their livin offering this experience to people and were in ton Sai partially to research a more exotic location to offer free fall suspension that rural Russia

I never met them, but I couldn't agree more!!

After Rob's accident, they traveled to the hospital in Phuket & stayed with him to be his voice. They communicated via facebook to his friends & family on the other side of the world. They stayed there with Rob until his sister could be there with him. Nobody asked them to help, they did it because it was the right thing to do. AFAIK, Rob had not met them prior to his arrival in Thailand.

The world could use more people like them!!
