looks a bit mad! im just a paraglider so dont know much about base launching

This tecnique is called "happy wrappy snappy" and is a very known launch tecnique among base jumpers.

It's called the "drunkover"

From what I recall, the first person to ever do this was not a BASE jumper per se but a paraglider pilot on a paragliding wing making a BASE jump from a bridge.

Could be wrong though....

This kind of exit seems to be possible with paragliding wings as well. I had a paraglider jump from our balloon this way. Looks far more scary than with a BASE rig but seems to work.
