World Wingsuit Race
Many thanks again to Gui to set up this event! all the jumpers had a great time. going big with jumping and with partying Smile

The concept of the event was something new and very interesting, sub disciplines like speed, accuracy and distance.
This was the first event like this where all the suits had an equal chance of winning because of this mix.

I'm proud of being part of a group of people who seriously compete against each other but still put friendship before the competition. I really hope this will stay like this for some time.

Like everyone else I was also impressed seeing the V5 rock the house. Ludo and Espen dominated the event until Ludo pulled a bit to low in the second distance round... It's nice to have a suit now on the market that is top on speed and glide!

Results:

Speed:
1º Ludovic Woerth (França)
2º Michi (Suiça)
3º Hugo Langel (Brasil)

3º Espen Fadnes (Noruega)

Distance:

3º Roberta Mancino (Itália)

Athlets Choice:

02º Dan Vicary (Nova Zelândia)
03º Gabriel Lott (Brasil)
04º Hugo Langel (Brasil)

Re: [Ronald] World Wingsuit Race
Genuinely curious, the petty brand war thing is so last decade.

It has taken me 2 weeks to work out who won, the posts on FB were so confusing! At least with the WWL you knew what was happening.

Maybe the Tony people can fill in what kind of suit they where flying.

But also to mention, the ratio PF to Tony was about 1 to 4 if you look at all 32 Participants.

I heard some complaining going on through the grapvine about results and how they were tabulated. What were the methods used for determining the results?

I don't know what source you had for this... I did not hear any complains from any of the participant regarding the determination of the results...

Here is a POW from the Organizer, Gui Padua which might answer some of your questions:

Most important about this race for all the participants was the fun we had (because we are a unique and cool group of people) Smile
It's only BASE Jumping, almost no one except ourselves gives a shit about this sport Wink
