Just got a Recon Instruments Flight HUD and was wondering if anyone would recommend a particular helmet to fit well with it. The Tonfly helmets are great, but the goggles sort of bulge out past where the helmet meets the goggles.

Has anyone had a chance to pair these up with a good helmet?

They go pretty well with the G2/G3

The Phantom X works good and so does the Bern Macon

A bit off topic, but has anyone gotten to try these for while? Is it working or are there still some connection issues due to the antenna being on the wrong side of your head?

Pretty much all of them. The Tonfly helmets are made to be flush with your forehead more or less which is usually a good thing, but with the ski goggles bulging out, it looks pretty funky. I've attached a pic of Jhonathan Florez wearing the goggles with a 3X so you get an idea of what I mean.

I figured out that Jeb Corliss wears the G2/G3 style helmet (as recommended by Shredex) when he jumps with the Recon goggles so I think that's probably the best option.

Also, I've looked around on the basejumper.com and dropzone.com forums and one guy removed the Flight HUD from the goggles and put it into a G3 (untested in flight though), so there's that. Not sure if anyone has done it with a Tonfly helmet yet, but it would probably only work on a full face helmet without the goggles.
