Front riser assisted landings
I know this isn't anything new and I've been doing it skydiving, but not as much in BASE. The past several jumps when I'm done turning to set up where I'm landing, I hang from both front risers, pulling them both down as far as I can and hold that position until just before or right at where I would normally flare and then release them both and go to toggles once it stops flying horizontally.

I don't see very many people doing that. Is it just because it's not necessary? Sure is fun though. And I wonder if it'd help you in the event of turbulence if you immediately released front risers when you felt the turbulence? If anyone knows any real downsides to doing this I'd love to hear it.

Re: [Zebu] Front riser landings
Front riser induced landings are very different from front riser landings. Just an FYI. Guess which one you described ?

Re: [Zebu] Front riser assisted landings
If youve got a bit open landing area, do whatever you want to built speed and increase flare. In sibu this year, we had a swoop competition because of the huge open landing and target. Many of the objects I jump, you dont have this option, so probably why you dont see a ton of people doing it all the time.

adding some front riser smoothly will help increase pressurization in your cells which will help in the event of turbulent air.
