hey guys as we all know slider off openings are really easy on the back

i had a l5-s1 partial disectomy and labrectomy a couple years ago and its been so so, lately the leg pain has really flared up and seems to be effecting my hips now. seeing as if i get surgery again it will likely be a more intensive disectomy or a fusion of that level, my question is has anyone had back surgery disectomy or fusion, with success at alleviating the pain AND being able to continue jumping? right now i can deal with it day by day but it gets pretty intense from time to time.
thanks!
My pain is so intense every day, I genuinely would blow my brains out if I didn't have family, loved ones and the thought that things will get better as i'm only 3 months in. I plan on taking a PCA when i can jump again, then a weak half second delay and so on. I had a fusion done on my L4.
Edit: The pain isn't even in my back (my back hurts like fuck) but its mainly the numbness with pain in the top of my thigh. I am numb from the left hip down to my knee in the front, gaining sensation as i go further down. The back of my leg is fine, outside is numbish, front is numbish and the inside of my thigh is hyper sensitive and silk would put me in pain.
