From November till end of December. Bring rig? I know Thailand has some beautiful beach jumps and I can always hit the valley when visiting the fam in Germany. Anything else worth checking out. I really don't wanna bust myself because of not wanting to fuck my wife's trip. We have a lot of diving planned in Thailand and Indonesia. She'd be super pissed if I'd break my legs and cut the vacation short. The reward has to be really worth the risk. Plus that's on more thing I have to carry.

Not to derail the post, but I think it's safe to say that any BASE jump could easily injure you enough to eff up your wife's trip, right? It's all risk versus reward and only you can place a value on that variable.

I know there are some fun jumps in Thailand, but I never brought a rig there and every time was it awesome. Having said that, jumping on the beach would be cool.

There was a good guide on here about Thailand; might be worth reading.

I hear the jumps on the beach in Thailand require some good rock climbing skills in order to be able to get there, and a local climber would be a good idea to hire as a guide. Not sure of the validity to this, but its just something I heard..

And that's exaclty the point. Especially since I already spend an exorbitant amount of money on a dive resort towards the end of the trip that is no refundable. Id love to jump but I figure it's kinda fucked up to risk an entire vacation for my wife for a little idiotic shenanigan on my part. I know that injury is a real and not unlikely possibility in base on every jump, especially low fucking cliffs with little protective gear. I honestly don't mind that but I mind fucking up my wife's off time. I brought my rig after all but will probably only go jumping in the valley and maybe hit Tonsai and some B in BKK if its not too sketchy.

Good group of people in ton sai at the moment and there will be other arriving thru to the new year there is also some plans for BKK in mid December.

Anyone in Tonsai at the moment? How's the weather? I'm on the east coast right now and it's pretty shitty. Are the cliffs dry enough to climb? Do you get to jump?
