Looking to get an OSP, they don't show up in the classifieds on here so I guess I better pay up and buy one new, I understand Morpheus is the only dealer for them here in the states, but I also understand that going through them can be quite a lengthy process, anyone aware or have experience with buying directly from attair when you live in the states?

I know of one for sale. Do you know what size your looking for? Do you understand the difference between pia spec and atair measurements?

I have two containers, I'd ideally like to get the osp in a pia 265, so I could fit it in my new gargoyle, but I'd still be interested in the 245 as it would be similarly loaded to my current canopy a fox 265,

Sorry, the only one I know of on the market is a OSP 265.

Yeah that would be the size I'm looking for, which would fit my container built for a 285, who's selling?

I have put in multiple Morpheus orders in the past 6 months that have been done faster than any of the other manufacturers. I put in an OSP/Helium order last week that is due before Christmas, and I am very confident that it will be done on time.

I'd suggest just putting in the order with Morpheus directly. If you want help with it, I'm a dealer for them and haven't had any trouble with communication or delivery time.

Alternately, Parachutes Plus is also an Atair distributor, so you could get an OSP from them.

Parachutes Plus has a stock OSP 245 and 265 that could go out this weekend. That's PIA 260 and 280 respectively.

Atair measures surface area by measuring the span x chord of the bottom skin. Stane Krajnc, the designer of the Atair canopies, feels that this measurement best represents a flying canopy.

Buying Direct From the manufacturer will save time / headaches and money.

Stane has been one of the most reliable people to deal with by email. He responds right away and he will sell you the canopy direct without going through a dealer. Last time i saved a couple hundred buying direct instead of through a dealer.

I will talk to my buddy and see if be is interested in parting out the set. But if not I would highly suggest dealing with stane. He is really good to deal with and dependable. Even better yet, get a few friends together and do a group order. I think I ended up saving about $500 on my group OSP light order (per canopy)

Hmmm...not really an accurate claim.

While the prices at Parachutes Plus won't line up to the Atair price on a daily basis, they reflect the average converted price in USD, including international shipping and the three percent duty levied by the US Customs Service. Parachutes Plus is not gouging or increasing prices; these are all costs that the customer would be responsible for during a direct order. Keep in mind that during late summer 2012 the Euro was abnormally low in respect to the USD (down to nearly 1.20), so someone using a service such as xe.com could think that the Parachutes Plus price was above the Atair price if they failed to take into account all other costs. Also remember that when you change money, whether through a credit card, PayPal, a wire transfer, or direct to cash in a bank, the rate those institutions give you will be five to ten percent above the official published rate.

The benefits Parachutes Plus offers buyers:
1) discounts on complete systems using AdrenalinBASE, Atair, or CR equipment.
2) reduced international shipping cost due to bulk orders.
3) ability to purchase in USD without incurring transfer fees or dealing with price fluctuations based on exchange rate.
4) availability of stock canopies.
5) immediate turnaround on delivered canopies.

Buy your canopies where and from whom you like, but when you look at direct prices don't forget to add:
1) the 5-10% from your financial institution.
2) potential transaction fees.
3) cost of international shipping.
4) 3% tariff to the US.

Based on his statement, I don't think miatoker ever dealt with Parachutes Plus directly or has dealt with our customer service. Furthermore, I suspect that a careful examination of total costs incurred -- barring a purchase made during August 2012 -- would reveal no actual savings.

1. Completely accurate claim When i compare the price of the canopy from parachutes plus vs morpheus vs stane i found that stane had the best price. Maybe not anymore but when i wanted to buy my canopy that was the case.
( you make a valid point about the euro being low and that may have been the case but i remember it being almost $200 less when buying direct)

2. I have dealt with parachutes plus, morpheus tech, and apex when purchasing gear so i can compare all 3 from personal experience. ( Side note - Parachutes plus was Fast and professional and had exactly what i needed in stock therefore i highly recommend them to my friends who need adrenaline base gear. )

3. Dealing with a manufacturer cuts out the middle man and is one less step when trying to communicate. Why would i ask you to ask stane something when i can just ask him myself and get the true response without all the BS that dealers filter between manufacturer and buyer.

Your point about dealing direct is fair, but as the point of contact for most of Parachutes Plus's customers I can tell you that I don't filter, distort, or alter any of the information from any of the manufacturers. I stay current on materials, options, and prices so I can usually answer questions directly. If customers want to deal directly with Atair, that is between the customer and Stane. During periods of normal exchange rates, however, they won't see any savings because Parachutes Plus doesn't mark up its prices.

Stane's talents are better served designing
and sewing parachutes!! Any person in the
modern age can field emails. I'd rather he
concetrated on making kick ass canopies.

Not to mention why would anyone chose to
be a dealer for PD, Atair, etc. if they would
routinely be competing with the factory??

An added benefit to working with Parachutes Plus is developing a relationship with the owner, Pete Swan. If/when you should damage your wing he is the guy you will want to fix it.
