We are now at 50 deaths since 2002 with wingsuits..

it IS insane. they are awesome, but crazy at the same time. i love it, but man... there's no stopping the youtube sensation now. just be prepared for more exponential growth in jumpers and deaths. just the way of things. it saddens me though, i hope the experienced ones stay smart and alive and we live to party on for ages together, as we also happily accept level headed new jumpers into this bitchin' life.

its a damned shame, but its the way it is. im just fearful that the valley is gonna get shut down before i ever have a chance to go jump it................

How many of those deaths were YouTubers? It seems like its the ones with the most experience.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not in any way, shape, or form taking up for the YouTubers. YouTube wasn't around when I wanted to start.

You think its a scary thought when you read through the stuff that comes up on here. Wait until you get there and see that shit that doesnt get reported first hand..... Very scary. Hope the jumping scene lives on there well after we are all gone!

not saying youtubers are dying now, but the influx has begun and will continue to grow all the numbers is all.

that and everyone has to be doing something more rad then the last guy posted online somewhere...

i dont mean to sound like a dick,,,,,,,,becasue I am, but the local farmers, residents, authorities, business owners, SAR staff, etc, etc, etc, will eventually get sick and tired of humans dying in their back yard. LB is TOO accessible for the fat, lazy, incompetent, unqualified jumpers.......but wait......... its mostly experienced WS pilot that are burning in. WS BASE is here to stay and that needs to be accepted by ALL jumpers and their famlies/friends. You can be THE best WSer jumping off mountains and make one small mistake/misjudgement and lights out.............we are seeing it more and more so just accept the fact that one of your jump buddies MAY smoke it in on the next jump.
