There is no base jumping in Portland, you need to go north. The SBC (Seattle BASE Club) can answer all your questions. I believe they're offering a year end discount on memberships right now

and i believe they give out baby-oil handjobs for dirt cheap to SBC members, no?

I understand that my journey to becoming a BASE jumper will take time and patients, I’m ready take my first step and start skydiving.
Does anyone have any local instructor recommendations? (Portland area in general)
I want a instructor that is very skilled and can take me a long way. Preferably someone who can even help me take my first steps in to BASE when the time comes.
My experience with getting an amazing instructor paragliding instructor shows in my skill paragliding today. I want to have an equally amazing instructor skydiving, not only someone skilled but some one that can teach and is a amazing person overall.
Ryan, how serious are you about this venture? If you’re willing to take the time and do it right then maybe this is something we could take on as a team? I’m interested as well and have a good background that has allowed me to have a good idea of what we are looking at doing. Having someone to go through this process with would be nice!

You could say im serious but I do not plan on doing anything like this until I have the experience in skydiving to safely do base. All I have ever done is cliff and bridge jumping so im nobody to talk. Feel free to get in touch with me via facebook if you want, I can give you my email.

The PDX BASE scene is a bit dead right now, literally and figuratively.
