Market for a velcro rig?
Anyone buying these things anymore? I have a Perigee 2 (lightly used) but wondering if I should post in classifieds (and have any hope of selling) as a complete system or should I part it out?

Reason I ask is I was at a party awhile back and some active free-BASE jumper got this look like I was offering him a Tabasco enema when I mentioned my dormant rig had hook and pile. [to clarify, he was the type that would NOT like such an enema]

Not meaning to re-re-re-hash the debate over velcro vs pin, just wondering if I have any hope of selling this highly unsafe, outdated, old-school, POS rig.

Cheers

Prices are much lower for velcro rigs, but at the right price they still sell. I've bought several of them this year. Send me a PM if you really want to sell it. Smile

Thanks Tom, I'll go home and take an inventory (got a bunch of never used PCs as well) and PM you.

I love Velcro. I'd be interested if cheap enough : )

I would hope so.
They are absolutely the right tool in certain situations.

I reaffirmed my love for velcro BASE rigs the other night while I offered an extra set of hands to re-close a two pin rig at an exit point.

They are kinda like humping fat chicks though.... there a lot of fun until your friends catch you with one.Blush

Asylum and Apex still build them. Probably for good reason.

Hahaha happened to a buddy of mine as well on a tight antenna climb. His closing loops were too loose. At least if my shrivel flap begins to peel, I can hear that shit and stop moving!! Apex has a slick velcro rig. Has that sweet frucking tuck tab shrivel flap so going terminal/aerials are bueno!!Tongue
