Re: [freeflyJoe] who gets to do this?
Wish I could give everyone a ride for free, but I have tens of thousands of dollars invested in it.
Just today we installed a rail system in the trailer that permits the catapult wheels to be guided and stopped at a certain point. This thing has been 3x more challenging that I ever thought as I just installed several vibration dampening parts on the wheels, air tank, and pneumatic cylinder. Yesterday I installed two fixed cameras and refined the seat cover on the sewing machine. Another coat of paint, fresh grip tape, a new battery, and some final checks before it arrives at BD on Friday morning.
Although we've launched 16+ people more than 100 times into water, we never really had anyone put on a rig and sit in the seat to determine how comfortable it is. Two of us tried it out today with no issues.
Let's just say everyone who sits in the chair will be very nervous.....guaranteed.
