hey, just wondering what size golite everyone uses for stash bags? im looking at the jam35L and the jam50L. backcountry ultralight.... thanks

Most of us here in Norway use the GoLite Pinnacle 72L. It's the only one who comfortably can fit the rig, wingsuit, a platypus and a helmet. If you only have the rig and nothing more the Jam 50L might work.

I believe that mine is the 50L Jam. It works well and fits rig (p-pro/ BJ260), my Phantom 2 wingsuit and full face helmet. The fit is snug.

I make the kind of bags you guys are talking about, and have for quite a while. I can make out of a heavy material or light weight. Comes with side compression,front butterfly compression,chest strap,removeable waist belt,rain fly,spacer foam padded shoulder straps. Read on another site that Golite stopped using retail resellers and are only selling through their website and have since dropped prices dramatically. The 'retail' price is no longer relevant seeing that they always sell well below that price. 50% off is great but it seems you can get even better deals if you have the time...

I saw the Jam50 has a removable backpad. With the backpad removed, is there any way to stow this thing in the typical stuff-sack pocket on most rigs? Or does it still have too much bulk?

It will have to much bulk. The hip belt is padded. you could strip it down more but then you are losing the comfort. i wear the pack on my back under the wingsuit. it is a little bulky but i haven't had an issue. I also only have about 20 ws base with this setup.

Storing large stash bags like my GoLite 70L is as easy as stuffing it into your leg wing of your wing suit. Of course, this may only work for suits like Tony or Squirrel... the PF slotted legwings may not allow for it.
Anyway, I just sewed a retaining loop at the top of the leg wing at the vent zipper to clip the stash bag so it doesn't fall down to the tail... never would know it's there in flight.
