hope he recovers healthy...

It really makes me think AGAIN how much of a good idea it is to bring a couple peices of climbing protection and a sling/biner.

I guess it definitely depends on the cliff for the possibilities of pro (smooth sandstone may be harder to protect) but man if you could get a cam in and clip off that just may save your life. A couple cams and a few nuts and a sling/biner dont weigh much at all really.

Thoughts???

"Even though it was a difficult rescue, Cannon said all of the search and rescue members who participated live for this kind of situation.

"There's not one of them that would be anywhere else than where they are," he said."

That's nice to hear instead of "damn BASE jumpers spending our tax money". Hope he recovers fully and quickly.

Reporters are already calling asking if I have a copy of Adam's Bridge Day film festival videos in order to prep a damaging story. Be sure to tell them to bug off if they call you. Heal fast Adam.

Anyone else notice the ticker at 1:24 in the video?

"Skydiver aims to break sound barrier, not neck, in highest, fastest freefall ever attempted."

Glad you're safe.

I think that's a good idea to carry some safety gear like you mentioned.

Another concern would be hanging harness syndrome or suspension trauma. I realize you may not want to move around very much in your harness hanging from a cliff face, but it would suck to die from suspension trauma before rescue got to you.

Best Wishes to a speedy recovery.

One of the guys he was with I would definitely want around if shit hit the fan. Super level headed, well thought out, just don't trust him to have enough gas to make it to Twin Wink

Re: Utah Base Jumper Rescued..
stupid American media... seriously how do you not even realize how bad you suck? while you're all busy cutting eachother's throats to get the next ridiculous frenzy feeding headline about the guy who "doesn't wear a suit and tie and go to work on time causes a ruckus and is ending life as we know it" just to get your own worthless name at the top of your editor's stack of fear tactics and scared society articles,

in Malaysia for example, the media and people are welcoming us with huge open arms and loving every minute of it.

take a lesson. improve your own life... and don't be surprised when real criminals start shooting more reporters then cops.Shocked p.s. most base jumpers, like regular citizens, are not criminals.

oh how hard your sad little life must be... even an article about shitty coffee is better then what you're writing in Utah.Crazy

i'm sorry i can't post url links to real actual paper newspaper articles that are still printed here and everywhere for sale in shops and on the streets with amazing photos and articles of the fine jumpers that are here. so much to learn if you just get out of your Oboxma.Tongue

Gosh! Adam, you're a dick! but heal up buddy, love ya.
