Washing tracking suits
After 7 weeks of solid use, my phoenix fly suit is ready for a proper wash. I read the label, but I am no expert on the weird symbols they use. What is recommended? A warm hand wash in water without soap isnt going to cut it. I have heard that the special solution from camping stores to wash wind cheaters in is a good idea? Suggestions?

Re: [BigfcknG] Washing tracking suits
I have always hand washed my wingsuits in the bath tub with warm water, some liquid Tide laundry detergent and a tooth brush for stains. Followed by two or three good rises to get all of the soap off. Afterwards my suits are stain free and smell wonderful. I have never seen any color fading, or abrasion to the fabric and seams with this method.

You're all gonna laugh at this shit, but I've washed a V3, V4, and an X1 in a front-loading washing machine. Most gentle cycle available, with Woolite, gently folded into a large-mesh bag (similar to what you store sleeping bags in). Works great. No ill effects.

What you are going to want to do is wash it with nikwax tech wax

Re: [BigfcknG] Washing tracking suits
I washed my tracking suit (PF) in a normal washing machine. Used some washing program intended for synthetic clothes, the water temp. was set at 40C and the detergent I used was normal stuff that I use with normal clothes. The suit was fine.

Me? No, I just watch heaps of YouTube and wear it out on the weekends. All those nights on the dance floor at The Horner have it smelling pretty rank, ya know. Do you?
