I was thinking more like horrific. Big ups to those guys, I don't know if I'd stick with it if my openings were like that and I had to use that old skool gear.

Yeah I doubt I would have the balls to have been BASEing that gear. Even in this day I wouldn't be doing SD cliffs with those winds though. Props to the old school.

Man props b.c without them we wouldnt be where we are today.

How many of you can name the jumpers or the cliff? NO Naming on this site, but if you can, let me know by pm. It was a cliff in the northwest and one of the guys actually hit the wall but not hard. I remember when they did it since two of them were old friends of mine. Why worry about gear, we're losing just about as high of percentage of jumpers today with great gear due to inexperience as we did in the early 80's with crappy gear, but a lot of skydives. No substitute for air time.
