What kind of stupid stuff are we talking about and who is doing the scrutinizing?

Re: [base570] NC LOCALS
Just saying.. not scrutinizing but a Guy was wrapped in the wires of an A after being guided off by a base buddy.. the kid had no base experience and kinda heated THAT area up I was told. Just saying.

Haha! Was that you, YooHoo? That fiasco was just icing on the cake. That area has been hot since like 2000. I think there is something in the water down there that makes the locals believe they are invincible. Or maybe it's the military brainwashing! Tongue
Regardless, there are more towers to jump than just the one Yoohoo got hung up on. There's even a few without wires! Just sayin, as well.

Blitz - can I borrow some of those clamps you got?

Sketchy Fun in the Carolinas

I spent 3 fucking hours in the dark with huge
country mosquitoes sawing up a tree by hand
to keep from burning an A in the area (after I
over-delayed, did not decide quick enough to
change my flight plan, and landed in a tree).

I just moved to NC myself. Would like to find some local jumpers. Have over 200 base jumps, but took the last year off to heal ACL. Pirate

I'm not sure what you are saying here... are you saying that you spent 3 fucking hours in the dark with LeRoy, sawing down a tree is not burning an object, over-delaying caused an error in judgement, or not having a plan B and deciding quickly on it caused mosquito's to attack? Please clarify.

Next time try using a saw instead of your hand to cut down the tree, it may save some time and bites and you can have some firewood for the winter in Florida.Tongue

LeRoy was a character... but absent for this
mis-adventure at his favorite freestander.

The tree coming down was mandatory for
gear removal and only took 30 minutes.

The extra time was spent cutting said tree
into movable pieces so we could put them
in the forest on the east side of the object,
(not left laying in the friendly farmer's field).
