its a bizarre story the cliff strike and save from a plane crash. Only to die in a plane crash later...the world is strange...

Did Steve die in a plane crash? I thought it was skydiving

He died as the result of a canopy collision after a competition CRW exit.

Thanks. That's what I thought. Wasn't it at Nationals and they changed the rules after that?

It was at the USPA Nationals (1996, I think) and I heard they did changed the rules after that, with the exception of 8-way speed.
