terminal mojo w/small mesh slider
seeking advice on jumping mojos terminal with a small mesh slider... I think it was designed for a large mesh slider,... those are intense openings for me. I was hoping to soften the openings w/a small mesh slider for a Kjerag trip.. hoping to do 10sec delays w/normal non-tracking pants. Trying to get educated on the altitude that would be used up on opening w/small mesh vs big mesh for a mojo... if 10sec would be fine at Kjerag for me.

I do 3 wraps of blue tape on the tailgate lines, and 2 wraps of the rubber band on the slider up top. Thanks!

Re: [EnNuages] terminal mojo w/small mesh slider
Small mesh is fine; that's what I use on my Mojo. I've also jumped my Mojo with big mesh and sail sliders too, but I use small mesh on all my slider-up jumps now. I've never jumped Kjerag, so I can't comment on specific delays.

Remember that "Kjerag" the way you're using the word, is not referring to a single jump but rather generally to a collection of exit points, each different in their own way from the others from go and throw up to 1000m. That being said, using basic BASE jumper good judgement (if that isn't a contradiction in terms), most of these cliffs are pretty damn big, and a small mesh slider is the right choice with your Mojo if your not experienced enough with the sites to go full sail IMHO.

If you have even a half decent track on the more frequented jumps you should clear ten seconds easy, even in street clothes. I'm not one for direct slider control, so no comment there, but I think you have the right idea otherwise. If you have any questions when you get there, ask the humble jumpers at the SBK. They'll tell you everything you ever needed to know about jumping in Lysbotn. Have a great trip. Please stick your thumb in Sparky's ass for me. It's just a little game we play.
