The Pursuit
We just released a new film! Check it out at:

http://exitpointproductions.com/films/the-pursuit/

Suzanne Graham one of the most versatile and progressive female action sports athletes in the world, teams up with established adventurer Jesse Hall in this new short film from R.A. Walkling.

A seemingly simple undertaking quickly challenges both their inventiveness and endurance as they escalate the back side of a cliff in Thailand with the hopes of discovering an epic B.A.S.E. Jumping exit point.

I look forward to seeing it.
Your last one was well done,
entertaining and educational.

Thanks Tom! We are glad to hear that! You can expect more of the same with The Pursuit. We just shipped your copy. Let us know what you think once you watch it.

Re: [ExitPoint] The Pursuit
That was the biggest waste of $15 I have ever spent. The movie is LESS than 15 minutes long with ONLY footage from 1 jump. I highly suggest you save your money and go to youtube.

I would write a longer complaint, but I'd spend more time doing it than I just did watching that movie.

Re: [Zebu] The Pursuit
wow scathing! Was it really only 15 minutes? Did they advertise running time??? If not I'd probably ask for my money back as that is very misleading. It seemed like a full length documentary based on the trailer.

Yes...It's about 14 minutes 30 seconds long (I think that's including credits). I tried to find the run-time somewhere, but I couldn't. If you look at the screen shots they have on the website and watch the teaser you've pretty much seen the movie. It's her doing flat and stable and him doing a double gainer off a 450' overhung cliff and that is the entire movie. I don't even think there were multiple jumps filmed and you don't even see his POV lol.

Re: [Zebu] The Pursuit

I have to agree with Zebu, was pretty disappointed. In addition to what Zebu already said, also somewhat misleading to speak about "discovering" an exit point when they are jumping a very famous cliff that has been jumped for, I don't know, 15-20 years maybe. I think they just filmed their jump trip and made this "film" to try and sell it to someone for television to cover the costs of said trip. Nothing wrong with that, I just don't think there is a jumper out there who would pay for this (knowing what it is). Sell it to whuffo TV, not your fellow jumpers.

I also bought their other film The B.A.S.E. Jumper, which was a lot less a waste of money. There were some cool stuff in it.

A lot of time and effort went into producing this short film. We are disappointed to read you guys didn't enjoy it.

Re: [ExitPoint] The Pursuit
Ah so NOW you call it a 'short' film whereas before runtimes were posted it was just a 'film.'. That's very curious. If a long amount of time was really put into the film, then why is the 3d animation that is replayed about 6 times so poorly done? That is, unless the 11-cell BASE canopy is really about to be released and John Neal Crossman (I believe that was the animator's name) knows something we don't... I mean besides the canopy and the stick man, the scenery was also poorly done. But enough about that... What would have helped is to have used jumps made leading up to the trip to tease us and add some meat to the bones of this film. Not a bad idea but it seems you didn't really follow through when I can go to YouTube and watch something with four times the exciting footage that's basically the same length... That's what this film probably should have been: a YouTube clip.

It says "A Short Film From R.A. Walkling" on the cover.

My wife and I watched this short feature
yesterday, it was well produced and did
a good job explaining the process of
jumping a new-to-you earth exit.

No, it is definitely not BASE porn, as in
100+ jumps in under an hour set to a
soundtrack of pirated music.

My only critcism is that they referred to
a standard exit as: Scared & Stable Unsure

Great job keeping Jesse in frame during
the 2-way and thanks for the DVD bro! Cool

Re: [ExitPoint] The Pursuit
people need to stop make self promoting videos about themselves, not saying that is what they did. But it is very difficult to please and audience when you make a video about 1 or 2 people....even worse, yourself. No one wants to know how awesome you are bc chances are, you are not that awesome. There are a few people that have pulled it off bc they are truly ground breaking. All of these self promoting posts and videos make me want to puke and chop from my canopy at 100 feet. It isn't about anyone of us.....it is about everyone of us having a blast. I havent seen this video, so I am not knocking it. For that matter, I am not knocking either one of them. They both make me kind of hard bc they both get after it. It is just gross seeing so much self promotion in a sport of soooo many people that supposedly jump for themselves....bullshit. I like the idea of making a video about opening objects and the work that goes in, but selling it?! If you are a badass, people will tell you and talk about you. Dont beg people to talk about you. There are basejumpers all over the states doing pretty much the same thing; from flat and stable to craziness of all sorts....guess what, its for us. Not to beg for approval from some company to give you a sticker and pair of socks. we are all lucky to get out and get after the things and places we love. Stop trying to be unique by doing the same thing. If you think you are doing something unique and special, you had better be pretty damn sure. Otherwise shut up and enjoy, make a humble video of you and your friends.....a few jumps....lots of sillyness and smiles. Props to Suz and Jesse bc I would go down on either one of them. Just sick of self promotion in a sport that is about self exploration, friendship, and getting out, and feeling alive.

I'm not wanting a bunch of BASE porn, but something more interesting would be nice. Charging $15 for documenting one jump is what I was upset about. If it were one jump like the worlds highest BASE jump or anything that ACTUALLY DOES "challenge both their inventiveness and endurance" and tell a story about that kind of struggle for a goal...ya, it wouldn't have been bad, but this was charging $15 for documenting a single jump from an obviously well-known exit point with pre-set ropes to help you get up the scramble sections. Nothing insightful or captivating in the interviews either. <15minutes for $15 of that is not ok imo.

Was 4.9euros and I've watched it at least 8 times. I'd have gladly paid $25 for that movie to support that. Now I'm not asking for that kinda quality for the price all the time, but I'm just sayin Smile

Why pay these clowns $15 if you can watch hours of unadulterated BASE p0rn on vimeo like this:

that video is a copy of a VHS that was also sold for Profit as well. I wonder what the original creators think about having their video pirated and distributed for free on the internet Tongue

Yes but this one would actually be worth paying for, even in grainy VHS!
