After 1000's of jumps, great relationships with both the neighbors and local officials and no incidents, there is now talk of Camelback being closed to BASE jumpers. If you have traveled through AZ and jumped here, this is reason enough to be pissed. This was a 100% avoidable accident caused completely by an unbelievable level of mouth-breathing stupidity.

I'm sure the Cincy crew can chime in as they have had a few awesome run ins with this guy as well.

The facts are that he was a wreckless jumper who got injured and rescued off of all four objects from mistakes that could have been easily avoided, and pissed off a ton of people in the norcal community, then made a fool of himself to the media. I think thats where a comparison is made. Disagree?

Regardless of personal differences in opinion about the relevance of previous comparisons made, the point of this post seems to be to serve as a warning that Nicholas Marinkovic is a danger to himself and others and people should not under any circumstances sell or loan him equipment. I don't know the guy, but I know Matt and I know most of the Cincy guys, so if they say he's a gnarr-gnarr ball, I'll take their word.

Seems like he's proud of himself. He seems to think he deserves credit for fucking up. He also said there was no head damage. I disagree. :p

He's going to live with his mistake, and hopefully, be very humbled by it when the reality dawns on him that he's going to have trouble for the rest of his life for a small period of stupid decisions. It serves as a good lesson for new jumpers like me and people getting into the sport too fast, so thanks for that.

If you want to get back in good standing with BASE you should find a way to contribute positively back. You can start by making amends with an awesome Twin Falls local who you screwed over royally in the past.

 I shattered my calcaneous (heel bone) on boths sides and have had five operatons so far to be be able to keep my feet but I still might lose them :'( If any of you sustained an injury, personal feelings would be instantly replaced with sincere concern, I would help with recovery as much as humanly possible. I would never rejoice in the injury or death of anyone. My enemy deserves love as much as my friends and needs it much much more.

Im lucky and happy to be alive but I am NOT SORRY. The more that you girls chit chat about me on here the more i am ecouraged to throw another log on the fire. I will be in a wheel chair for a year and in foot braces for longer so there will be a good amount of time for you to enjoy objects without the concern of me blowing them up, however, I can still reek havoc from the comfort of my hospital bed. Your approval and actions was not nor will ever be a determinating factor to the joy in my life. I am always at a loss to understand people who feel that surviving stupid decision making is a vindication of said decision making. BASE has a bad reputation, yet I have been involved with this sport for a large chunk of my life, and I understand that it is an unforgiving activity, yet I am perplexed by the mentality that accepts it as inevitable that injury is a part of this activity. your acceptance, of the consequences of your actions leads me to wonder if you had given much thought to the activity that you were participating in?

I lied about skydiving and admitted and apologized several times for my actions. I hurt not only myself but others with the shit that came out of my mouth. No one can expect me to become the person im destined to be if you keep holding who i used to be over my head.

I went to a friend's funeral last week. It sucked. I am glad that you survived your injuries and will walk again at some point. That's what's really most important.

There's two types of people, those that learn from mistakes and those who don't... BASE jumping is pretty unforgiving of the later, good luck dude your gonna need more of it.

Luck tends to be with the person who did not include it whilst making plans.

There are A LOT of exp. jumpers in that area. The not-so-stupid thing to do would have been to get in touch with at least one of them who knows THE PROPER EXIT POINT. Had you had a local show you the correct exit, you'd probably still be traveling around burning different objects.

Jumpers like yourself who constantly go againt the grain come and go (remember the guy in MN who was going around burning objects while drunk off his arse?). Sounds like you have a lot of downtime to think about your life. Maybe you could become a better person, no?

I understand pain, so do many jumpers. Regardless if the injury was in this sport or not. Like Brendo said you failed a long time ago in your thought process of the sport. Injury is not part of it..... it's optional. Yes it's a very real option, but is seems you never learned from the first fuck up.

There's a jumper here who taught me to jump at my FJC and he had a very unfortunate accident happen. Changed the dudes life.

Oh I took him to the right exit point when he first jumped it,and he damn near impacted on landing on that one.So he knew where to jump from,but for some reason his brain took the night off!!!! Refused to take him on another jump after that!!!

I hope you man up and make post worthy of a sticky on being a bad example of a beginner. to help out those who would like a successful BASE future.

freakboy....whats the deal mann? serioulsy I thought you and I had an excellent time and I was honored to go huck my second "E" with a jumper of your stature. After a good exit my canopy opened on heading(I was stoked so I put my arms out for a couple seconds)I stood up my landing right next to my brother where I had planned to. Some hi fives folled by a good jump and many thank yous from me to you I was assured it was a solid jump. Shortly after the jump i got an email stating that no one would ever jump with me again .... I am a current "B" licensed skydiver and did my 214 jump at skydive phoenix(and landed way off the dz)and wish for my base number to remain unknown,however, I was trained by master daisher. It was real nice of him to help out a person with downs syndrome

I stopped telling people cuz I was worried it might be viewed as bragging. I was just glad to be alive and well after an incident. But what you are doing is entirely different.
