i've been wanting to base jump for around 6 years, problem is i don't know how to start. i live in ireland and would be greatful for any help on where to begin. thanks

Prepare for an onslaught of posts telling you to start by reading through the sticky posts at the top of the forum but it boils down to this:

* First learn to skydive and get really expert at packing, deploying, flying, and landing a parachute.

* Next, if you still want to BASE jump, take a BASE course.

Somewhere in there (and you *should* have started this before posting) read everything you can find about BASE jumping.

We all gotta start somewhere and speaking from experience, sometimes just asking where to start can be the hardest part for someone.

You should've read all the stickies, like "READ BEFORE YOU POST" and "WHERE TO BEGIN"
